Recently, Huangdao Customs seized a batch of unqualified export hazardous materials, totaling 2.5 tons.

When customs officers conducted on-site inspections of a batch of export goods declared as "reverse osmosis scale inhibitors," they found that the goods were packaged in closed-mouth plastic cans, and the UN mark (United Nations Dangerous Goods Packaging Certification Mark) information did not match the accompanying appraisal report for the use of outbound dangerous goods transport packaging, making it uncertified dangerous goods packaging. The cargo totaled 100 barrels, weighing 2.5 tons.

Reverse osmosis scale inhibitors are classified as Class 8 hazardous goods, corrosive, and use uncertified packaging, posing significant safety risks during transportation and storage.

Currently, customs has processed the above goods as non-export. (Liang Jialin / Text)
